Our participatio on ehibition was on two parts. First was group’s installation Echo is in a sense a prologue to the performance Shared Solitude. In its quiet state, Echoes floats through the enclosure in the architecture of the gallery space, waiting for an impulse or interaction with the viewer. Their passage is interrupted only by the sounds caused by the visitor or by the sound environment of the surrounding space itself. Sound means interaction, communication. But also here we can paraphrase G. „If a painting falls down in a gallery and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Second was audiovisual performance that responds to the exhibition spaces of Pragovka, their history and their acoustic and visual qualities. „In preparing an exhibition of over 1100 m² with a unifying theme, which also includes sub-curatorial sections, it was necessary to find a centre. This is the shifting sound field of the multimedia performance Shared Solitude created by the artists from the AUXIG group (Petr Hanžl, Polina Khatsenka, Jan Krombholz and Barry Yuk Bun Wan) gathered around the Artbiom platform under the direction of guest curator Tereza Nováková. The sound will allow permeability with other parts of the exhibition,“ says Lucie Nováčková. „Thus, the concept will be built asymmetrically, with sound at the centre and the viewer traversing the geological and political past, continuing with anchoring in the physical and ethereal body, reflection on social connections, to the meditatively tuned projects at the very end of the ground floor Pragovka Gallery.
